Project Description

Souq Waqif Metro Station  is one of the most notable stations along the Gold Line Underground, located not only at the heart of Doha City but in the oldest culturally renowned market. Hydroserv as approved dewatering subcontractor for this major station works, experienced a very challenging condition during the excavation stage when an artesian pressure was encountered at site. But with Hydroserv’s expert team, an effective design and emergency pumping plan was successfully  implemented to maintain a safe working condition.

Souq Waqif Station was dewatered up to 27.5m using a dewatering system of 31 deepwells, with a flow capacity of 600l/s connected to an over-pumping system.
